After earning his master's degree in microbiology, Nicolas Bertrand has worked in the development of an anti-psoriatic nutraceutical ingredient at Advitech. He then led the development of a molecular diagnostics test at DiagnoCure that resulted in 2 patents and an eventual license of the test in the USA. He now use his past industrial experience and project management skills with CRIBIQ, an industrial research cluster in Quebec, and takes part in the set-up, evaluation and financing of new bio-industrial projects. He also takes part in creating new opportunities in this emerging sector by setting up events, performing technology watches and publishing specialized reviews.
